Barcelona

After sleeping and refueling the Mark Sanchez (Jets) we started day one in Barcelona. We got a decent hotel this time around, and by decent I mean horrible by US standards but high class for European standards. We told Ace not to get used to it, there would be filth to come, even by European standards. First thing we wanted to do in Barcelona, hit the beach... And we did. Last year, we roamed around Europe not really wanting anyone to know we are American; different story this year! We hit the beach with our American flag, USA Basketball jersey, and an "I Love NY" t-shirt. We let everyone in Barcelona know where we're from, whether they asked or not. We were a little jet lagged so we called it a night after about 10 hours of being annoying Americans (and by annoying I mean amazing). Day two we suited up in our running shoes and jogged all over the city to see the tourist stuff (we have to keep the investor happy). We saw everything from Sangria Familia, bull fighting stadiums, and a bunch of other pretty lame things. The best part of the running tour was the running. Flag and Jersey in hand, conservative Ace wore non-American apparel. That night we went to the same pool party that we attended last year. We told everyone that America is the best: basketball (gold in the olympics), futbol (US beat #1 ranked Spain about a week ago), and pretty much anything else that is important. Our last day in Barcelona was July 4th. We pretty much did the same proud American BS we had been doing the previous couple of days on the beach. Next stop, Ibiza!
